Born From A Century of Global Service
In 1917, Melvin Jones, a Chicago business leader, asked a simple question: "What if people put their talents to work improving their communities?" That spark ignited Lions Clubs International (LCI), which has grown into 1.4 million passionate humanitarians across 200+ countries.
In 1957, the first Leo Club was chartered at Abington High School, Pennsylvania, by Lion Jim Graver. Since then, the Leo movement has become the premier training ground for youth worldwide.
